Operations: Quebec

The Abitibi region of Quebec is MDN's birthplace. The Company intends to continue paying close attention to this region, where it holds six groups of claims. These claim groups are distributed in four Abitibi areas: the Lac Shortt, Lesperance and Le Tac groups are in the Desmaraisville area, the Clairy group is to the north of the city of Chibougamau, the Matagami group is to the east of the city of Matagami, while the Des Méloizes group is located east of Normetal.

All these projects occur in the eastern part of the Abitibi greenstone belt, which stretches from the cities of Timmins, in Ontario, to Chibougamau, Quebec, within the Superior province of the Canadian Shield. The volcanic, sedimentary and intrusive rocks of the region are of Archean age.
