Brief Corporate History

MDN INC.’s (“MDN”) recent growth is due to the work of geologists and managers, who together continue to overachieve in their quest for shareholder prosperity. MDN is a Canadian mining company which was originally incorporated as Northern Quebec Explorers Ltd. under the Mining Act (Province of Québec) through the issuance of letters patent dated January 27, 1954.

On September 4, 1987, the Company was restructured under Part 1A of the Companies Act (Québec) by the issuance of articles of continuance and its name was changed to NORTHERN MINING Explorations Limited / Explorations MINIÈRES DU NORD Limitée.

Since December 6, 1999, following the reorganization of Canadian stock exchanges, the common shares of the Company have been listed and traded without restriction on the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX) under the symbol “MDN”.

On May 24, 2007, in order to streamline the corporate name and the stock exchange symbol under a single designation, the Company formally requested a change of name under Part 1A of the Companies Act (Québec) to MDN INC.
